Lisbon Casino: The Capital’s Gambling Entertainment Center
Lisbon is an European city that has maintained its historical charm. That doesn’t mean it has never caught up with modernism, being one good example the Casino Lisboa.
The Lisbon Casino is a futuristic edifice, with minimalist architectural design and modern hi-tech facilities that houses not only the gambling areas but also live shows, restaurants and bars, providing a complete entertainment experience.
The casino has become a favourite nightspot with its spacious gambling floors featuring more than 1,000 slot machines and areas dedicated to table games, such as poker, blackjack, and roulette.
The majority of the live acts are performed in Oceanos Auditorium, which can accommodate more than 600 people and has a retractable ceiling and a removable backdrop that opens to the wide space of the casino.
If you’re looking for cocktails or dinner, you can go to Arena Lounge, which has a rotating bar where both local and foreign artists perform every night.
The Casino Lisboa also provides its guests two parking areas, easily accommodating hundreds of people who visit every day, especially in the evenings. One of the parking areas is just below the casino building and can accommodate 300 vehicles while another 300 vehicles can be parked in an open area just 25 meters from the casino’s main entrance.
The Lisbon casino is located at Parque das Nacoes (Park of the Nations) a residential and commercial complex, which has other worthwhile attractions. These include a glass-and-steel train and metro station called Estacao do Oriente, as well as Vasco da Gama Bridge, the longest in Europe with 11 miles. Just a few meters away from the casino is Oceanario de Lisboa, which is heralded as the biggest European aquarium. It is home to over 20,000 fish and other animals, spanning more than 400 different marine species.
