Mezzaluna Restaurant: A taste of Italy In Lisbon
Mezzaluna Restaurant is a little piece of Italy, relocated to Lisbon, courtesy of master chef Michael Guerrieri. A native Napolitano, Michael has all of his most popular ingredients flown in daily, direct from the bountiful regions of Italy, especially Napoli and Sicily.
The mission of Chef Guerrieri is to bring an authentic and original cuisine direct from his homeland, to his new home in Lisbon.
As one of the most up-and-coming Lisbon restaurants, it’s a popular stop for the region’s self-proclaimed foodies. It is not necessarily a trendy spot, but the service there is very warm and attentive to your every need.
At the Mezzaluna restaurant the fare is a fusion between traditional Portuguese cuisine, and popular Italian, and the chemistry between the two is nothing short of delightful to experience.
It is also reasonably priced for the fare that is offered. For a party of two, drinks, appetizers, entrees and desserts in addition to wine and coffees, will only run around 100 Euros.
They also sponsor daily specials, for the more cost conscious patrons, especially on the weekends. One local favorite is their linguini nero with lobster, a delicious deal that costs only 26 euros to enjoy.
It is also an enjoyable experience for the whole family, a rarity in an area that normally caters to adults. With all the wonderful pastas, entrees and delicate desserts in this Lisbon restaurant, even the fussiest child will find something to their liking.
