Clube do Peixe Restaurant: A Fish Lover’s Delight
With a name that loosely translates into “Fish Club”, Clube do Peixe restaurant lives up to its reputation as one of the Lisbon restaurant scene’s best seafood establishments.
With a daily display of fresh fish, white linens and cornflower décor, it is chic and cozy, with an understated air and a menu that has fish lovers coming back for more.
The seafood here is superb, done in any fashion you desire, including fried, baked or grilled to perfection. It is the perfect place for lunch, business meetings, or romantic dinners, with an affordable tasting menu that runs on average for around 20 Euros. The tasting menu, as well as the regular menu, are filled with delectable dishes that reflect the chef’s preference for Mediterranean cuisine.
For starters, we would suggest trying the octopus salad, the house signature dish. Follow this with a delightful shrimp spaghetti or garlic lobster with olive oil fettuccini, and round it all off with one of the light and deceptively delicious desserts or house coffees, served by a polite and generously attentive wait staff.
Not interested in seafood, but still want something hearty? The mozzarella and tomato salad comes highly recommended, followed by a juicy sirloin Portuguese style, layered with vegetables and a lot of local seasonings.
The service here is excellent, and the wait staff will go out of their way to make your visit as pleasant as possible.
